SECURITY ACCESS SYSTEMS There is no building intrusion detection or access control systems.

FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS

Fire Alarm systems consist of manual pull stations at main exit doors and stairways. Smoke detectors have been added at the Southeast lobby/gift shop. A Vesda air sampling system has also been added within egress hallways for smoke detection. Notification devices have been added in egress hallways and the Southeast lobby/gift shop. A single Simplex 4100U panel has been added to the original building for support of fire alarm systems. Fiber is connected to this fire alarm panel for campus monitoring. Alarm/Monitoring The existing fire alarm system has some remaining service life, but should be replaced if future building additions or expansion is intended. It is anticipated that this would include the replacement of all existing conduit, wiring and devices to meet applicable codes and CWU campus standards. The Simplex 4100U fire alarm panel could be reused if approved by CWU facilities.

The building has a fire sprinkling system throughout. The sprinkler service should be able to serve a new renovation. Any significant renovation, however, would require the revision of sprinkler system branch piping as well as sprinkler heads Sprinklers/Suppression It is anticipated this system will be reused with the exception of bringing up to current code and revising to accommodate the space layout.
