Fun in Dalkeith at the Winter Carnival

It’s carnival season! Residents and onlookers came out in droves to see the annual Dalkeith Winter Carnival parade. Council members tossed candies at children in the crowdwho were excited to be part of the fun. Children fromLaggan Public School joined in the parade waving at spectators. The carnival also included a plethora of activities at the community hall, or ‘ThunderDome’. Saturday’s events included a broomball tournament, a kiddie corner, a hockey game, and a dance. Sunday’s activities included Fristine the clown and a roast beef dinner with 50/50 draw. Several other winter carnivals are just ahead with Vankleek Hill January 31 and February 1, L’Orignal, and Lefaivre February 7 and 8, and Chrysler February 16 to 20.
