CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE THIS SEPTEMBER Hispanic Heritage Night 2018 at Georgia Aquarium September 15 For the first time ever, Georgia Aquarium is partnering with the Latin American Association to celebrate Latin culture. It’s a great opportunity to explore the aquarium after hours. Food and drink will be available (with a cash bar for those 21 and older), as well as live music and dancing. Mexican Independence/Independencia de Mexico September 16 It’s the largest celebration of Mexican Independence in the Southeastern U.S. Join the crowd at Plaza Fiesta (4166 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30345) just north of Atlanta, where the festivities will start at 12 p.m. Sing, dance, and enjoy great food and music at this free event. Latinx Heritage Festival September 15 The Birmingham Museum of Art invites the community to celebrate Latin culture and heritage. Fiesta 2018 September 29 The festivities continue at Linn Park in downtown Birmingham.
