Gursh values the wisdom of understanding and the benefits of patience. “You need to be clear on a builder’s why to mentor them the right way,” he says. “You don’t want to be too soft with a go-getter or annoyingly pushy with someone who wants to focus on building one customer. And if a business builder wants to pull over to the side of the road with their hazard lights flashing, we continue to go fast but make sure they know we are here for them when they want to join us again.” Both Gursh and Amen are passionate spokespeople for Melaleuca products. “Our family can’t live without them!” Amen says. Their children are growing from passive product users to active shoppers. “They place their own orders now. The products are personal to them. They will look in their Melaleuca shipping box and ask, ‘Where is my order?’ Everyone has their own Luxury Bath Bar with the scent they love best.” For the Sagoos, life with Melaleuca is fast paced, fun, and continually creating more freedom for their future. There is strength in its strategic simplicity. “My goal is Corporate Director,” Gursh says, “and that means, as a team, helping five friends get to Executive Director and celebrating five households.” And now, Gursh has to go. He just saw a friend he hasn’t met yet and he wants to say hello! TP

Executive Director 2 Gursh Sagoo is a man in motion. He is always out and about building bridges of friendship because, he says, “a Melaleuca business is all about building genuine relationships.” You’ll catch a glimpse of him at trade shows, local fairs, and networking events, meeting and connecting with people. In fact, legend has it that he only sits down when he’s with friends in a coffee shop presenting the Melaleuca Overview. Gursh does not rush the getting-to-know-you process. “I’m proud of what I do, but I want to build credibility with the person first,” Gursh says. “When I meet new contacts on social media, the objective is to build a relationship.” Eventually the question is always asked of him, “So what do you do?” His answer is ready. And the Melaleuca Overview is next. His signature hum of energy runs through his Overview presentations as well. “I love in-homes because of the excitement in the room!” Gursh says. He also enjoys the dynamic of one-on-one Overviews at Starbucks and adds a clever touch: he lets the customer hold the iPad and scroll through the presentation.
