À l’issue des présentations, les candi- dats répondront à une série de questions soumises par les habitants. Les questions seront posées par un modérateur, et chaque candidat disposera d’un maximum de trois minutes pour répondre à chacune d’entre elles. Bien que ces soirées soient ouvertes au public, il n’y aura pas de période de questions libre permettant aux personnes présentes de poser des questions sponta- nées. Ce format vise à garantir une utilisa- tion équitable, structurée et respectueuse du temps alloué à chaque candidat. La Chambre de commerce invite les habi- tants à soumettre leurs questions à l’avance par e-mail à l’adresse info@crcommerce. ca, au plus tard le jeudi 8 octobre à 16 h.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding residents that electric kick- scooters (e-scooters) are completely prohibited from public roads, streets, and sidewalks in all municipalities within the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR). The OPP stated that officers have obser- ved an increase in e-scooter use by youth travelling to and from school. The OPP emphasized that e-scooter use is subject to municipal by-laws and provin- cial regulations, and that these devices may not be permitted in all communities. 6OEFS0OUBSJPT&MFDUSJD,JDL4DPPUFS Pilot Program, municipalities must actively PQUJOBOEQBTTMPDBMCZMBXTUPNBLFF scooters street-legal. Locally, they are restricted entirely to private property. Ontario’s e-scooter pilot program requires municipalities to opt in and establish local regulations governing their use. Currently, no municipalities in Prescott and Russell jurisdiction are participating in the provincial e-scooter pilot program, meaning e-scooters are not permitted for VTFPOQVCMJDSPBET TUSFFUT PSTJEFXBMLT within those municipalities. 3FTJEFOUTBSFFODPVSBHFEUPDIFDLXJUI their local municipality if they reside outside the Prescott and Russell jurisdiction or are unsure whether they fall within it before operating an e-scooter, as regulations vary from one community to another.
