Celebrating 20 Years of Comfort and Community
As St. Thomas and the surrounding area continue to welcome new residents, Gastech Solutions is celebrating 20 years as a local, family-owned and operated heating and cooling company. For Office Manager and owner Julie Goodall, the milestone reflects two decades of earning trust, one customer at a time. “We started small, built our business one customer at a time, and have always believed that our reputation is our greatest asset,” said Julie. “Our goal isn’t to become the biggest HVAC company around; it’s to continue being the company our customers feel comfortable recommending to their family, friends and neighbours.” That commitment begins with honest advice, dependable ser- vice and quality workmanship, without pressuring customers to purchase equipment they do not need. As a local company, Gastech understands the homes in the area and remains available for maintenance, repairs and advice throughout the life of a system across St. Thomas and surrounding communities. Julie said much of the company’s business comes from repeat customers and referrals. “One of the greatest compliments is when a customer refers their family member, friend or neighbour to Gastech,” she said. “That tells us they trusted us enough to put our name behind their recommendation.” Gastech’s promise of “comfort for every budget” means pro- viding homeowners with meaningful choices. The company offers equipment from multiple manufacturers at different price points, along with purchase and financing options. Rather than automatically recommending the most expensive system, the team
considers each homeowner’s priorities, including upfront cost, energy efficiency, monthly operating costs, comfort and reliability. Customers also deal directly with Gastech owner Gary when considering new heating or cooling equipment. With no commission-based sales team, the conversation focuses on finding the right solution. Gary’s hands-on experience installing and servicing equipment allows him to clearly explain the benefits, limitations and costs of each option. “Sometimes the best solution is not the most expensive one, and we’re comfortable saying that,” Julie said. “Our goal is to provide a comfortable home without putting unnecessary strain on the household budget.” As Gastech looks toward its next chapter, new names and faces will help support the company’s continued growth. However, Julie said the priority will remain maintaining the personal service and standards that have guided the business for 20 years. “We wouldn’t be here today without the customers who’ve chosen Gastech Solutions, trusted us with their homes and businesses, and continued to call us back year after year,” Julie said. “Twenty years is a milestone we’re very proud of, but we’re even more excited about what the next 20 years will bring.”
