MINISTRY OF MUSICALS F or more than a decade and a half the melodious, friendly voice of Phil Kerr delighted hearts of thou­ sands of people who attended regular Monday Night Musicals in Pasadena. Then after suffering a severe heart attack, the popular hymn and chorus writer, often called “Mr. Gospel Music,” was called into the presence of Christ to “make the courts of heav­ en ring.” His widow, Iris Kerr, desired to present one Memorial Musical in her husband’s honor. So many people asked her to resume the ministry, however, that she has set the first Monday each month throughout next year for the musical testimonies of dedicated Christian artists. And where are these gatherings held? Visitors to Southern California are always amazed to find that the 3,000-seat
