Rev. V. E. Brace, senior chaplain of the Christian Jail Workers, Inc., Los Angeles, on October 14 went into the presence of the Lord following a serious illness. Dr. Schwarz Crusade, headed a special Anti-Com­ munism meeting in the Hollywood Bowl recently. More than 12,000 peo­ ple attended the gathering. Dr. Clafe Risley, executive secretary of the National Sunday School Associ­ ation, reports that all attendance rec­ ords were broken during the recent 16th annual convention of NSSA, held in Detroit, Michigan. Delegates from 43 different countries attended. Dr. Jack Wyrtzen, having just returned from Russia, addressed one of the closing sessions. A goal of 80,000,000 Sunday school members by 1970 has been set. Congressman Walter Judd is to be one of the key speakers this month at the Conference on Communism and the American Heritage to be held in Chicago. Dr. Clyde Taylor will also be featured. Mr. Tony Mockus and Miss Flo Price are featured in a new motion picture

Governor Mark O. Hatfield, Oregon’s Christian statesman, was key speaker at the recent dedication of Radio Sta­ tion KPDQ-FM, the broadcasting fa­ cility over which many of the key Gospel programs are heard in Port­ land.
