“It was incredibly rewarding to contribute to something larger than my own chapter. Knowing that my work could improve the experience for members across Alpha Phi made it feel both purposeful and impactful.” —Mariia

“This project means a lot to us,” Dakota says. “Alpha Phi prides itself on being trailblazers in the Greek community, and this app is another step in setting the Fraternity apart.” Mariia joined the team during the project’s first phase. A digital marketing and analytics major, she brought her classroom experience to life by turning data into an app that feels easy to use and thoughtfully designed. Every interaction within the Alpha Phi app reflects her work. She led the design, balancing the Fraternity’s identity with a clean, intuitive experience. “I wanted the app to feel effortless to use and to truly support members rather than overwhelm them,” Mariia says. “Ultimately, my goal was to create a design and experience that feels both simplified and elevated at the same time.” Suha, a computational biology major, joined the team during the project's second phase. She led the app’s coding and backend development, using her programming skills to bring the platform to life. Her work makes it possible for members to use the Alpha Phi app and rely on it every day. "My biggest takeaway from the internship was the power of collaboration,” Suha shares. “It was so insightful to be able to work with so many different people and across different departments to create a wonderful product that will improve the experience for members.” Built by Alpha Phis for Alpha Phis, the Alpha Phi app brings everything Fraternity-related into one easy-to-access place. Members no longer need to bounce between websites or track down forms. Instead, they can access collegiate officer resources, pay dues, recommend a member, explore volunteer opportunities, shop Alpha Phi merchandise and more, all within one space. No matter where someone is in their Alpha Phi journey, staying connected has never been easier. As with any new launch, some adjustments are expected. Dakota and her team are expecting that feedback as members begin engaging with the app. “We’re excited to get the app out to our members, and we'll continue to improve it over time to create something that truly fits their needs,” Dakota says.  Available Today! The Alpha Phi app is now available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play (Android).
