Les deux équipes avaient chacune des joueurs d’expérience dans leur alignement, des piliers qui pouvaient faire la différence sur la glace. Du côté des Knights, des an- ciens du junior AA de Lachute, Mathieu Plouffe, TimWeigthman et Maxime Leclair, ont apporté poids et finesse à l’attaque. Mais l’équipe de Manorex avait égale- ment fait du bon recrutement avec, dans ses rangs, l’ancien des Stallions de Kanata de la Ligue centrale, Olivier Fleurent, et l’ancien attaquant des Glens d’Alexandria junior B, JF Dubois. L’équipe de hockey deManorex Construc- tion a remporté la finale publique du Tour- noi industriel de Hawkesbury, défaisant les Knights le 15mars, par lamarque de 3 à 2. Les deux équipes ont offert tout un match de hockey aux centaines de specta- teurs présents au Complexe sportif Robert- Hartley. En première période, les gardiens Fred Rochon et Max Bélanger ont tout blo- qué et la vitesse était de mise au sein des différents trios.
Le numéro 16, Guillaume Morrissette, a marqué le deuxième but des siens.
L’ancien porte-couleur des Aigles de Saint-Isidore, Pierre-Olivier Poulin, célébrant la victoire de Manorex Construction en finale avec le gardien Max Bélanger.
