Parade Grand Marshall PATRICK CUSACK
Patrick Cusack considers his greatest accomplishment in life to be marrying his high school sweetheart, Dana Hebard, more than 38 years ago. Together they built a life grounded in strong family values and a shared commitment to serving others. Both Patrick and Dana were raised by wonderful parents who modeled generosity, hard work, and community service. Family has always been at the center of Patrick and Dana’s lives. They raised five children, all of whom live on California’s Central Coast. Their family has grown even larger with the addition of 17 grandchildren, who bring tremendous joy, laughter, and occasional chaos into their lives. Watching their children raise families of their own has been one of the greatest blessings Patrick and Dana have experienced. Faith is another cornerstone of Patrick’s life. He credits his mom for his Christian faith which influences the way he approaches both life and business. He believes deeply that God calls people to love and serve others, and he feels grateful for the many blessings he has received, loving parents, a strong family, meaningful friendships, and opportunities to contribute to his community. Patrick has dedicated many years to community involvement and service. His efforts have included work with organizations such as the Five Cities Homeless Coalition, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Camp Arroyo Grande. He has also coached youth sports and served as President of the local Chamber of Commerce. In recognition of his philanthropic efforts, Patrick and Dana received the 2024 Santa Barbara Foundation Philanthropic Award. In business, Patrick has been involved in a wide range of ventures, including auto dealerships, car washes, waste services, and real estate development and as of late the Santa Maria Speedway. Working alongside family and friends is the best. Creating opportunities for people is what he feels called to do. He realizes how special it is to be part of businesses that have been around since the 1960’s and the importance of investing in people to carry the torch into the future.
For Patrick, life’s greatest rewards have never been measured by business success but by faith, family, friendships, and the opportunity to serve others.
