AROUND DULWICH

This year’s Design Show featured a very special exhibit. The memorial bench, pictured above, was created by Tom Younger (Year 13), also pictured, to commemorate OA Saagar Naresh. The session on Alleyn’s clothes, which are more routinely seen in the portrait that hangs in the Boardroom, also pictured, was part of an evening devoted to Alleyn’s business partner and father in law, Philip Henslowe – 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of his death as well as that of Shakespeare. Professor Grace Ioppolo’s later lecture focused on her work digitising Henslowe’s diary, the jewel in Dulwich’s many archival treasures. Alleyn reclothed
