Sean Connery A raw, ruthless panther. He set the standard. His Bond was cold, cynical and dangerously charming, a true Fleming agent of the Cold War era. George Lazenby He played Bond in only one film: On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Underrat- ed at the time, he is today considered the man who first showed Bond’s vulnerability and gave him a genuinely tragic love story. Roger Moore THe man with the raised eyebrow. Moore’s Bond was a gentleman, always ready with witty remarks in absurd situ- ations. The films became spectacles, some- what comic-like, adapted to the more re- laxed 1970s and ‘80s. Timothy Dalton THe precursor to the modern Bond. Dalton returned the agent to his roots. He was dark, serious and often at odds with

himself and his own government. Many say that he played Daniel Craig’s Bond 20 years too soon. Pierce Brosnan THe ultimate ‘90s Bond. Brosnan com- bined Connery’s menace with Moore’s charm. He was a perfectly polished agent for the post-Cold War era, advertising ex- pensive watches and Italian suits. Daniel Craig Brutal deconstruction. Craig’s Bond would bleed, sweat and suffer. He turned the character into a modern, psychological- ly damaged killer with a conscience, yield- ing billions of dollars for the franchise and bringing an emotional gravitas that it had never previously had. The billion-dollar question: who’s next? After Daniel Craig sacrificed himself spectacularly, and literally, at the end of No Time To Die, the franchise found itself

at the biggest turning point in its 60-year history. The agent must now be “revived” and rebooted in a completely new uni- verse. Franchise oversight producer Bar- bara Broccoli is holding the cards close to her chest, noting that the process of se- lecting a new Bond implies a contract with a commitment of at least ten years. Aar- on Taylor-Johnson, a British actor who has the right mix of raw talent, mascu- linity and old-fashioned charm needed to pull off the role, has been the most widely rumoured contender for months, though names like James Norton and Damson Id- ris have also been mentioned. One thing that’s for certain is that the next Bond will be completely different. The world has changed, with technology ren- dering it a surveillance planet and geopoli- tics having become more complex than ev- er before. However, in a world straining to maintain order, audiences still desperate- ly need a man in a perfectly tailored tuxe- do who walks into a bar, solves a problem and orders his drink with a smile.

KAKO SE SLAVI 5. OKTOBAR ? Globalni dan Džejmsa Bonda usta- novljen je 2012. godine, na 50. go- dišnjicu premijere filma „Doktor No“.

HOW IS 5 th OCTOBER CELEBRATED? Global James Bond Day was estab- lished in 2012 to commemorate the 50 th anniversary of the premiere of Dr. No. This date is celebrated world- wide in the style of the agent himself, through exclusivity and luxury. The day sometimes sees auction house Christie's London traditionally organ- ise a charity auction at which orig- inal movie props (from Aston Mar- tins to Omega watches) are sold for millions. Venues like the Royal Al- bert Hall host screenings of iconic Bi- ond films accompanied by live music from the Royal Philharmonic Or- chestra, while luxury London hotels and private clubs host themed black- tie dinners under a strict dress code, where guests drink only martinis (and Bollinger champagne).
