PURPOSE OF MEMORANDUM To seek recommended approval from the Finance and Administration Committee to present Contract No. MT-00211593, Facility Wide Hazmat Disposal & Abatement Services, to the full MDTA Board at its next scheduled meeting. SUMMARY This contract provides periodic decontamination, abatement and or disposal of biological/medical/infectious hazards, hazardous materials, hazardous wastes (including universal wastes), unidentified wastes, regulated wastes and non-regulated/industrial wastes for Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) facilities. Four (4) bids were received, but one Bid was rejected for being non-responsive. Kalyani Environmental Solutions, LLC, was determined to be the responsive and responsible Bidder with the lowest total overall price and therefore is being recommended for award of this contract. RECOMMENDATIONS To provide approval to present the award of Contract No. MT-00211593, Facility Wide Hazmat Disposal and Abatement Services, to Kalyani Environmental Solutions, LLC at the MDTA Board’s next scheduled meeting.
