PURPOSE OF MEMORANDUM To seek approval from the Finance & Administration Committee to present Contract No. J01B6600001, DYNAC Traffic Control System Software to the full Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Board at its next scheduled meeting. SUMMARY This Sole Source Contract is for the provision of continued software maintenance and full-service plan (including repairs) of Kapsch TrafficCom USA, Inc.’s (Kapsch) DYNAC Traffic Control System (TCS). The DYNAC TCS is used as a supervisory control and data acquisition system to manage lighting, ventilation and traffic control equipment at the following MDTA facilities: Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, Fort McHenry Tunnel, Harry W. Nice / Thomas “Mac” Middleton Bridge and Inter-County Connector Deckover. The service plan includes corrective and preventative maintenance and, a 24-hour, 7-day a week technical support. Kapsch TrafficCom USA, Inc., is the developer and intellectual property owner of the DYNAC software and only technicians from Kapsch can provide upgrades or repairs to DYNAC TCS. The total value of this contract is $3,844,018.00 for a term of five (5) years. RECOMMENDATION(S) The approval of the Finance & Administration Committee to present Contract No. J01B6600001, DYNAC Traffic Control System Software to the full MDTA Board at its next scheduled meeting.
