Meeting reinforced the partnership among the member universities and advanced UNIVERSEH's mission: empowering the next generation of European Space professionals through excellence in education, research, innovation, and international cooperation. University of Rome, alongside with Prof. Michael Toplis, President of the Toulouse Community of Universities and Institutions and Chair of the UNIVERSEH Governing Board, as well as representatives of the European Commission, the Italian Ministry of University and Research, the Italian Space Agency (ASI), the Municipality of Rome and leading figures from the European Space sector. A highlight of the programme was the keynote lecture Beyond Earth , For Earth by ESA astronaut, Paolo Nespoli, who shared stories from his missions and reflected on how Space exploration benefits life on Earth. His message to students was both simple and powerful: Think about doing impossible things . He stressed that ambition is only the starting point - turning dreams into reality requires years of preparation, lifelong learning, resilience, and the ability to adapt to uncertainty. The panel Preparing for the Next Space Age: Human Challenges, Education and Innovation explored how European universities can help address the scientific, technological, and societal challenges of future Space exploration.
