Planning and Building Applications If you are planning to develop or renovate your property, you may need approval before you get started. Planning and building rules are set out by the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and are available on PlanSA. They describe which developments are appropriate for different areas and how they should be built. The rules are used to assess a development for planning and building approvals. Council recently appointed development experts MasterPlan to provide planning services on its behalf. Building approval on the other hand can be assessed by private certifiers. A list of private certifiers can be found here: https://plan.sa.gov.au/accredited_professionals_re gister or contact us on ph. 8752 1044 for more information. The Walkway Gallery is currently on the hunt for items to feature in Material Girls , an exhibition honouring Tatiara woman for the 2024 South Australian History Festival. Material Girls will look back at some of the inspiring women of the district, the changing eras of fashion and style, the creativity it has inspired in the domestic and work sphere, and the impact its had on the district. Locals (and those moved away) are invited to submit items for consideration that have a connection to local Mums, Grandmas, Great Grandmas, Sisters or Friends from any era.
