According to the judges, MyLife Bathrooms is nothing short of remarkable. The company follows the so-called four Ps: Passion, Pride, Professionalism, and Progress, and those values really shine through. The supplier follows a very focused business plan which has not only met but exceeded revenue goals, even during times of adversity such as the Covid pandemic. In the past year, the growing number of staff demanded the purchase of land to double the size of office space. The supplier’s ability to penetrate both UK and ROI markets was also highlighted by the panel, and it reflects their focus on excellent customer service, high-quality products, and consistently high stock levels – which are often around an amazing 99%. The panel also recognised that MyLife Bathrooms is more than just a supplier, as its in-house design team brings the latest trend designs to their portfolio backed by market research and customer feedback. Thanks to this focus on innovation, their product offer is refreshed every six months and supported with full product launches every January and July. According to their clients’ testimonials, the company’s services are second to none, and “MyLife Bathrooms really have evolved very quickly into a market leader and trendsetter in the industry.”

This category recognises an individual within the plumbing and heating industry who makes a substantive contribution to their company, local community, or charity. Brenda Hall’s dedication and talent to organise fundraising activities wowed the judges. She is the Showroom Manager and Charity Partnerships Manager at Bassetts and believes large companies have a responsibility to give back to local communities in Northern Ireland. Brenda’s dedication has been vital in establishing partnerships with local charities and encouraging the staff to dedicate their time and resources to support their community. Her talent to cajole others into action are famous at the company. She has even been known to ambush the odd manufacturer MD for support for worthy causes! Each year, Bassetts nominates a local charity to support financially through fundraising activities such as bake sales, sponsored runs, and raffles. Brenda has managed over ten charity partnerships and, in the past five years, raised over £65K working with PIPS, McMillan, Barnardo’s, Air Ambulance, and the British Heart Foundation. Without her perseverance and persistence, the company would not have been able to achieve half of this amount for local causes, and the judges commented there couldn’t be a more worthy winner of this category.
