Daisy McAndrew , former chief political correspondent and economics editor

Daisy’s keynote speech covered the political landscape, especially the impact of Brexit, and her career.
At age nineteen Daisy worked as a researcher in the House of Commons, then edited The House Magazine before becoming a freelance political journalist. She developed a career in broadcasting, making regular contributions across television and radio, and presented Channel 4’s lunchtime political programme Powerhouse. She co-hosted the weekly lunchtime show The Daily Politics and presented Yesterday in Parliament on BBC Breakfast. She went on to present the weekday drive time show for LBC. In September 2005, Daisy joined ITV as chief political correspondent for ITV News and in June 2008 became ITV News economics editor after returning from maternity leave.
