TAPPI Prepares For Innovation Awards TAPPI and the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) have announced that U.S. applications are now being accepted for the Blue Sky Young Re- searchers Innovation Award. This awards program aims to recognize students, young researchers and engineers carrying out pro- jects in a wide range of activities relevant to forest- based science, products using forest-based raw materials, process improvements or other innovations throughout the value chain. Sponsored by the Interna- tional Council of Forest & Paper Associations (ICFPA), the Blue Sky Young Researchers Innovation Award program focuses on research and development as well as showcasing significant innovations in science and technology in the forest and paper industry. Winners will have the opportunity to present their projects to a roundtable of global forest and paper in- dustry CEOs in Berlin, Germany, in May 2017.
