To conduct this research from a comparative perspective, the researcher selected Al Jazeera and the Algerian An- Nahar channels as cases for his study. While the developed world has monitored the dangerous effects of covering violence on the receiving audiences decades ago, many Arab satellite channels continue to transmit scenes of violence without taking into account the professional standards as indicated by various codes of journalistic ethics. Due to the frequent broadcast of this type of news, some satellite channels have become accused of being a major reason for the spread of violence transmitted from screen to society. The study concludes with findings related to the news coverage of violence and its impact on the cognitive, behavioral and affective interaction of the studied group. Young people represent the strength of resilience in societies, they have the drive and ambition for change, and they have unique characteristics that distinguish them from other social groups. Hence the importance of focusing on them in studying the impact of this dangerous phenomenon.
