She used the content analysis methodology to analyze and compare the infographic materials selected from the news sites of Sky News, Al Sumaria and Al Jazeera Net. The study concluded with a number of findings, including the following: The use of animated and interactive infographics by these sites has been limited and achieved a minimum level of interactivity. The three sites tried to simplify intangible topics by presenting them in the form of infographics in order to help users understand them in a better way. The three sites take into account the cognitive significance and the shared meaning of symbols and shapes between the transmitter and the recipient. The statistical analysis showed a multiplicity of infographic types used in the three studies sites.
