The analysis of a set of educational and cultural programs on the selected four channels falls into two categories, direct and semi-direct. This categorization enabled the researcher to distinguish and compare between four different cultures with mainly religious, political, social and patriotic dimensions. Focusing on the analysis of cultural contents conveyed by satellite television most watched in Syria, this study brings to light the main aspects of cultural education in a changing Arab media sphere, where many cultures co-exist and compete within the same societal setting.
