Chasten Vruwink is a dedicated finance professional with a strong foundation in analytical and problem-solving skills, honed through his degree in finance from UW-La Crosse. Since graduating in 2021, he has actively contributed to his community in Central Wisconsin, serving as treasurer for both the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce and Wisconsin Rapids Area Youth Hoops. These roles have enhanced his financial management and organizational abilities, while his involvement in youth sports has strengthened his leadership and teamwork skills. Chasten’s professional journey reflects his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for finance. He co-founded a fireworks company with his brother, gaining valuable experience in sales, customer service and financial management. After graduation, he joined WoodTrust as a research associate and was promoted to investment management officer in 2023. In this role, he continues to develop his investment knowledge and contribute to the firm’s success. Chasten is driven by a desire to inspire both his colleagues and community through collaborative innovation. He aims to boost efficiency at work and foster a stronger sense of belonging in his community by volunteering and organizing events. Eager to connect with fellow MBA candidates who share his passion for learning, growth and making a positive impact, Chasten believes in the power of collaboration and mutual support and looks forward to building strong relationships with his cohort. A fun fact about Chasten is that he’s an avid Packers and Bucks fan. He enjoys discussing Wisconsin sports, golfing and spending time outdoors.
