Winter 2025 was filled with celebration, connection, and creativity at Strathpine Aged Care, with residents, families, and staff sharing in a vibrant season of activity and heartwarming community spirit. Community Happenings Winter
Festivities and Cultural Celebrations Residents journeyed the globe from the comfort of home aboard the Spirit of Strathpine cruise, exploring Italy, France for Bastille Day, Brazil’s carnival, and even Scotland – complete with themed food, games, music, and bingo. The EKKA Day celebration was a standout, with a petting zoo, Dagwood Dogs, popcorn, strawberry ice cream, and good old-fashioned fun. The courtyard was abuzz with families, friends, and fabulous outfits. We also honoured NAIDOC Week with damper baking, lemon myrtle cookies, and Indigenous art. Special birthdays for Doug, Athol, Maureen, and Clarrie brought music, cake, and heartfelt wishes. 5
