Community Happenings Winter
Creative and Musical Expression Residents showcased their talents at the Resident Art Showcase, from painting to woodwork. Music filled the halls through regular Happy Hours, concerts by Jose Harcourt and Jayde Schembri, and performances by U3A’s Sophisticated Folk and Rob Stevenson. A high-energy 80s disco night brought sparkle and dancing to the activity room. Therapy dog Rosie continued to warm hearts with her fortnightly visits, and armchair tennis and craft groups kept spirits active and minds engaged.
Excursions and Outings Winter saw residents enjoying scenic bus trips to Woody Point, Redcliffe, Samford Valley, Old Petrie Town, and The Sands Social. Whether indulging in seafood, tea and treats, or ice cream by the sea, each trip offered laughter and relaxation. Our friends from Aspley Aged Care also joined us for a lovely morning tea visit. 6
