12200 State Line Rd, Leawood, KS 66209 IDEA Space KC provides a mutually supportive space in south Kansas City where students and educators explore Innovation, Discovery, Entrepreneurship and Arts through consistent, ongoing learning experiences. Register by contacting info@ideaspacekc.org or call (913) 766-4332. Troop leaders should try to reach out three weeks in advance to make sure your preferred date is available. Coding I, II, or III Badge Workshops

6800 Zoo Drive, Kansas City, MO 64132 or will travel to troop meetings Kansas City Zoo connects people to each other and the natural world to promote understanding, appreciation, and conservation. Our educational programs encourage a sense of wonder and curiosity about animals, promote science literacy, enhance understanding of our connection to the natural world, foster a stewardship ethic of caring for wildlife, and inspire conservation action. Master the basics of coding, design a game, or build an app to earn any of the Coding for Good badges! All steps of the badge will be covered, but badge is not included. Attendee Cost: $15/student; Adult volunteers/chaperones welcome at no cost. Length: 60 - 90 min.

Zoomobiles

Girl Scouts will write code and customize robots to earn any of the Robotic badges! All steps of the badge will be covered, but badge is not included. Attendee Cost: $15/student; Adult volunteers/chap- erones welcome at no cost. Length: 60 - 90 min.

Bring the zoo to your next troop meeting! Engage in meaningful learning through animal ambassador encounters and age-ap- propriate activities that focus on real-world challenges, sharpen STEAM skills and build empathy for animals and our planet. Be inspired to become environmental champions! Click here for more information. *Zoomobiles travel to troop meeting locations. These must be in a public, indoor setting; no private residences.

Join us for an exciting evening at the zoo after it closes! Take part in some fun activities and learn about our animal residents through a night hike around the zoo. Click here to register. Length: 2 hours.

Girl Scout Workshops

Design and create your own customized keychain. Girls will use TinkerCAD 3D Design software to create a 3D Printed keychain. Keychains will be available for troop leaders to pick up following the workshop. Cost: $15/student Adult volunteers/chaperones welcome at no cost. Length: 60 min.

Spend a night at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium and discover what happens when the sun goes down! Stay inside of our Sobela Ocean Aquarium, Helzberg Penguin Plaza, Polar Bear Passage and Lion Kopje, or sleep under the stars in our Africa campground! You’ll enjoy your very own private night hike through the zoo to see what the animals get up to at night and participate in fun, educational activities. Perfect for families or for troops! Come out to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium to help earn your next badge! Badge Options are: Math in Nature, STEM Career Exploration, and Photo Explorers. Learn about the natural world using the zoo to lead the way through a variety of different work- shops with fun activities and a guided tour! Click here to register. Length: 2-3 hours Cost: minimum is $250 for up to 10 Girl Scouts, $25 per each additional. Each Girl is allowed 1 adult for free; sib- lings cannot be accommodated.
