Wayside is the largest pet adoption cam- pus in Kansas City, serving more than 40,000 pets and people through pet adoptions, youth education, canine training programs, community outreach, and more. Pets Badge Workshop

Earn your Girl Scout Pet Badge with an exciting adventure at Way- side Waifs, where you’ll discover the ins and outs of pet care and animal welfare! Engage in fun activities like touring the shelter, creating enrichment toys, and participating in interactive games that teach responsibility and compassion for pets. This educa- tional program not only helps you earn your badge but also gives you the chance to see shelter animals and make a positive impact through projects like reading to the animals and making treat toys. Badges must be purchased by the troop with GSKSMO retail. This program is FREE. Min/Max: 10 minimum for on-site and off-site (no max)

Complete steps to earn your Robotics II badge while participating in hands-on fun activities! Girls learn about parts of robots and how they are programmed and move. Length: 1.5-2 hours.

Envision, design, and build transportation of the future! Think through how we use cars and other transportation now. How can we improve it? Can we design new ways to travel that better fit the needs of our society, and our environment? Create a vision, set your design criteria, sketch your idea, and make a model. This maker space style class will present a wide range of reuse materials for making models. All materials provided through our community partnership Attendee Cost $200 flat fee, includes materials, instructor and travel. Additional Information: Please register 4-6 weeks in advance of event date. Length 1.5 Hrs
Become a paleontologist for an afternoon! Explore the history of life in our fossil hall, enjoy hands-on activities, and learn about career options in the earth sciences. Cost: $10 per Girl Scout and participating siblings, no cost for adults. Length: 2 hours. This patch can only be facilitated at the museum.
