I wanted her to have the freedom to engage in prayer and rely on what guidance she receives in that space to help her navigate her decision making. I didn’t want her to do that alone though. I wanted her to know that it was just as important for me to communicate with God as much as it was for her. I created this journal for us and decided that there has to be other mothers out there that could benefit from this practice. I'm Ashley Thompson born in Bridgeport, CT and a single mother to a little girl, prayer is one of the things that I wish my mother would have done more of with me as a child. I believe learning how to pray and building an open communication connection with God would have helped me through a lot of peer pressure as a child and even in my teenage years. Now as a parent myself I wanted to equip my daughter with what I lacked at her age, a true relationship with God.
