The internal working committee will advocate for Clarence-Rockland in dis- cussions surrounding County Road 17, but also consider alternative solutions to congestion between Clarence-Rockland and Ottawa. The City of Clarence-Rockland has wanted to address congestion on the 17/174 for many years. Travel between the two cities is difficult, which Clarence-Rockland officials say is a major obstacle to economic deve- lopment in the municipality. Councillor Andre Lalonde mentioned this during the committee of the whole meeting, saying that that the City has concentrated its efforts on widening the highway for 25 years now, which hasn’t worked. Clarence-Rockland is growing southward, so alternate routes other than the 17/174 will soon be necessary. Despite this, there is merit in identifying Clarence-Rockland’s long-term needs when

Ils ont réitéré leur demande le 11 mars, FOEJTBOURVFTJ MF#4&0QPVWBJUVUJMJTFS l’espace pendant des mois, un seul week- end pour le Club Optimiste ne devrait pas être un problème. Ils ont été informés que le #4&0BWBJUQSPMPOHÊMVUJMJTBUJPOEFMBSÊOB jusqu’à la fin mai, après quoi il sera fermé pour des raisons de santé et de sécurité. Toutefois, le 8 mars, le Club a rencontré le NÊEFDJODIFGEF MBTBOUÊEV#4&0 MF%S Paul Roumeliotis, pour lui demander s’il ÊUBJUQPTTJCMFEFDPPSEPOOFSBWFDMF#4&0 la libération de l’arène du 2 au 5 juin pour permettre la tenue du dîner. Il a répondu par l’affirmative, à moins d’une nouvelle variante de la COVID qui empêcherait les rassemblements en intérieur. Le Club a donc demandé à pouvoir louer l’aréna pour le dîner du 2 au 5 juin. Cette demande fera l’objet d’un vote lors de la prochaine réunion ordinaire, le 4 avril.
Le Club Optimiste de Rockland a demandé à louer l’aréna JML pour leur 45 ème dîner au homard. Lors de la réunion du comité plénier du 23 mars dernier, le Conseil de Clarence- Rockland a reçu une délégation du Club Optimiste de Rockland. La délégation du club voulait demander l’utilisation de l’aréna Jean-Marc Lalonde du 2 au 5 juin pour la tenue du 45 e souper au homard. Le Club Optimiste avait initialement demandé à utiliser l’aréna en novembre, mais il a été informé que le Bureau de santé EF MFTUEF M0OUBSJP #4&0 BWBJU SÊTFSWÊ l’espace jusqu’à la fin de décembre. À la fin de leur bail, l’aréna ne serait plus disponible pour des raisons de santé et de sécurité et en raison d’une étude des bâtiments de la ville.
