Go West(on)! Oh I do like to be beside the seaside.

CONTRASTING AREA On Thursday, Year 2 visited Weston-Super- Mare as part of their Katie Morag topic. We arrived in Weston and did the most important thing fi rst… had lunch! A little bit of a difference to our normal lunchtime though, as we ate our food on the promenade looking at the sea. Once fi nished, we all went onto the the beach to play in the sand, run around in the sea air and of course have a ride on the donkeys. This was so exciting! Following on, we left the beach and walked up to and along the pier, pointing out human and physical features on the way. After a long walk up the pier, we had a well deserved ice cream at the top! Last but not least, we couldn't visit the seaside without having some chips. We walked back to the sea-front and enjoyed the lovely view of the sea again whilst eating them. Overall, the children, staff and parent helpers all had a wonderful day and there were smiles all round!

Thanks to Mrs. Yale for the story.
