P ROJECT P URPOSE AND J USTIFICATION Currently capital project management process is a mix of Excel, paper, sneakernet and snail mail. Budget tracking is difficult and contract documentation is manually disseminated for review and approval using a “red folder” process. This project is intended to license, install, configure and implement the AssetWorks CPPM module, redefine and automate the capital planning and management process including: Contract Administration, Project and Budget Management, and integrate with the PeopleSoft FMS system. P ROJECT G OALS 1. Implement the Capital Planning and Project Management module in AiM utilizing EWU’s configuration and setup. 2. Implement this module with minimal setup changes and customizations. 3. Reengineer the contract administration, budget management, and project management processes to be project holistic, timely, transparent, accurate, and accountable. 4. Automate these processes with technology such as online forms and workflow to ensure timely execution. 5. Integrate the contract and budget management processes with PeopleSoft FMS. 6. Develop operational reports that support the capital project process.

The project will run from 5/01/19 to 1/31/20. It will implement AiM CPPM module and reengineer the CPPM processes to increase efficiency, transparency and timeliness of reporting. Project deliverables include: • a new contract administration process and practices • enhanced tracking of project accounting and financial status through project lifecycles • a fully implemented Capital Planning & Project Management system that is reliable and usable O UT OF S COPE
