C HANGE M ANAGEMENT AND C OMMUNICATION P LAN The greatest contributors to project success are a comprehensive, effective change management strategy and strong, focused executive sponsorship. The purpose of Change Management is to help the university successfully navigate the transition between the current state of the business and the future state. Project Management serves as a tool to change the process or system that will result from the project efforts. Change management manages the people side of change which includes changing business practices, reducing employee resistance and minimizing lost productivity. C OMMUNICATION P LAN The following template will be used to develop communication with stakeholders and end-users. This plan identifies both one-time and on-going communications.
C HANGE M ANAGEMENT C ONSORTIUM CWU has an active Change Management Consortium (CMC) to support a culture of organizational change and improvement. CMC collaborates on change efforts that impact the university by providing assessment, consultation, resources and education.
