Afin d’en faire le lancement, le RAEO avait installé une table, près de la tente de la Foire gourmande, où deux jeunes femmes ont dégusté un repas quatre services, alors que deux violonistes jouaient une douce mélodie, piquant la curiosité des visiteurs et démontrant l’aspect ‘chic’ de l’évènement. Le Réseau agroalimentaire de l’Est ontarien (RAEO) a dévoilé, lors de la Foire gour- mande de Rockland, le dimanche 3 juillet dernier, la tenue d’un nouvel évènement culinaire qui aura lieu le 10 septembre 2016. De la Ferme à la Fourchette sera organisé par le RAEO en partenariat avec le Traiteur la Bonne Bouffe et Productions MP et pro- posera une toute nouvelle expérience dans la région. Les gens seront transportés par autobus à une ferme dans la région de Pres- cott-Russell, dont l’emplacement sera tenu secret jusqu’à l’évènement. Le tout commen- cera par une visite de la ferme, suivie d’un cocktail et d’un souper préparé entièrement avec des produits locaux. « Ce nouveau concept fera découvrir aux participants toute une gamme de produits locaux tout en vivant une expérience hors du commun. Nous souhaitons rapprocher les consommateurs à nos producteurs et leur offrir des alternatives de consommations locales.
