The St-Isidore Aigles are enjoying fourth place so far in the standings of the National Capital Junior Hockey League at the close of the mid-season schedule. Their final games for December saw a 7-3 loss to the North Dundas Rockets Saturday night but the Aigles celebrated a Sunday shutout at home of 9-0 against the Bytown Royals.

NCJHL versus Switzerland The Christmas break is on for most regional hockey but the National Capital Junior Hockey League (NCJHL) has something special for fans after Boxing Day. The NCJHL hosts the Meyrin Switzerland junior team in a pair of exhibition games against two of the league’s own teams. December 28, the Gatineau Hull-Volants play Meyrin at 2:30 p.m. at the Robert Guertin Arena in Gatineau. The next day, the North Dundas Rockets fire off at 7:30 against Switzerland at the Chesterville Arena. – Gregg Chamberlain The Ottawa 67s celebrate 50 years as one of the top teams in Ontario Hockey League and Yvan Joly of Hawkesbury has a special place at the Dec. 29 celebration event in Ottawa.
