Identified Recommended Projects 1 Alternative capacity to access sub-area from I-35W / supplement constrained 28th St (SH 183) and N Sylvania Dr. 2 North-south capacity to support Panther and Stockyards development pipeline, multimodal access to downtown transit corridors, and regional access from I-35W. 3 W. 7th to Panther Island / Stockyards, west access. 4 Alleviate traffic on Henderson SB, improve safety and intersection operations at Henderson & Belknap / Weatherford. 5 Alleviate through traffic impacts on Belknap & Weatherford from I-35W to W. 7th & Henderson St on downtown local trip & multimodal options. 6 Locate downtown transit mall / hub for HCT, for fast and seamless modal transfer, access downtown destinations. 7 Improve I-30 crossing to support north-south HCT corridor. 8 Enhance use of downtown public space, & downtown attractiveness / vibrancy. Integrate with transit mall. 9, 10 New or enhanced river and railroad crossing facilities to improve east-west network resilience, connectivity and multimodality, and support future growth in West 7th and Cultural District areas. 11 Alternative multimodal capacity needed in W.7th / Cultural District Area other than W7th St to meet growing future demand. 12 Create new multimodal access to Butler Place from Downtown and IH 30, across IH 35W and railyard barriers. 13 Enhance Butler Place frontage to Trinity River, integrating with reconfigured IH 35W, IH 30W and US 287 access. 14 Expand supporting multimodal infrastructure to United Riverside. The needs listed below summarize priorities and potential ideas currently being evaluated for feasibility and are not proposed solutions included in the Plan recommendations. Figure 6.14 illustrates the locations of the identified needs.
