Recommendations Recommendation #1: Close First/ Last Mile Gaps Targeted first/last mile improvements in high stress, low coverage corridors can help more people use active travel for short trips every day. Recommendation #2: Support All Active Transportation Modes Improvements should result in continuous sidewalks, new or enhanced pedestrian crossings, and trail or on-street bikeway extensions.

Recommendation #3: Prioritize Areas in Need & Demand Places where the network coverage is poor despite high demand for walking and bicycling are shown as high priority areas for targeted investment in the map. Priority areas will be integrated into the implementation of the 2019 ATMN. These locations include: ■ Avondale Haslet Road in northwestern Fort Worth ■ Eagle Parkway in northern Fort Worth ■ Oak Grove Road in southeastern Fort Worth ■ Cooks Lane in eastern Fort Worth ■ Trinity Boulevard in eastern Fort Worth ■ White Settlement Road in western Fort Worth

Recommendation #4: Harden Existing On-Street Facilities The city is focused on improving on-street bicycle/micromobility facilities by retrofitting routes on the high-injury network with raised barriers such as curb stops or other materials to enhance protection, safety, and comfort for vulnerable users.
