6.12.1. Sub-Area Land Use Outlook The Stockyards The Stockyards currently has a land use pattern dominated by low-density residential and commercial uses, with the dense, historically character-rich core of the entertainment district occupying a relatively small footprint. Accommodating more than 21,000 residents and 22,000 jobs by 2050 would require a significant expansion of single-family attached, multifamily, mixed-use, and office development beyond the existing Stockyards core.
