Trinity Metro Partnerships Effective transit requires coordination across jurisdictions, agencies, and funding streams. Fort Worth’s partnership with Trinity Metro encompasses a range of investments in fixed-guideway extensions, technology-based rapid transit, hub development, and last-mile connectivity. Table 8.27 identifies ten priority transit partnership projects spanning short- to long-term horizons. Near-term priorities include the TexRail extension to the Hospital District, technology-based rapid transit improvements on Eastside Route 89, and the Jones and Calhoun multimodal engineering schematic. Mid- to long-term efforts focus on Hub of Transportation Technology (HOTT) corridor development along Berry Street and McCart Avenue, last-mile circulator technology serving the Stockyards and Hospital Area, and guaranteed transit service paired with a Park and Ride facility for the Alliance area. Taken together, these investments advance Fort Worth’s broader goal of building a transit network that serves existing communities while positioning the city for growth.
