He laid the foundation for the company’s ethos— quality, reliability, and a hands-on approach that involved building more than just structures, but relationships too.“Chad had taken the business over from his father, who started the business in the early 80s,” Ashley Holt, Project Manager at JL Loper Construction, recalls. “So we’ve become like a family, generational business that's been around for a good bit of time. JL started off in the Mobile area, and then worked their way over towards Orange Beach where we are now.” For Chad, taking over from his father wasn’t just about continuing the family business; it was about honoring the values that his father had instilled.
