Building a Reputation on Innovation While strong relationships have kept BCI thriving, innovation has kept them growing. Bearden recalls a particularly challenging bayou rehabilitation project that required driving piles into the ground between two major operational plants. Traditional pile- driving methods would have disrupted the plants’ operations, but BCI found an innovative solution. "We found a machine that is one of only two in the world, got it scheduled, and the plants never even knew we were there working," Bearden shares. This kind of out-of-the-box thinking has earned BCI a reputation for not only delivering results but doing so in a way that minimizes disruption to their clients' ongoing operations. BCI’s latest innovative leap comes in the form of an expansion to their pipe fabrication facility. As part of their strategic growth, the company has invested heavily in automation technology that no other company in the Gulf Coast is using. "We’ve invested heavily in automation that triples throughput through a shop, which gets pipe to the field quicker, gets projects over quicker, and improves pricing and quality," says Bearden, clearly excited about the future potential of this facility.
