Police Beat Four men from Prescott and Stormont counties tried to run off into the woods when they were caught lurking around a Limoges village neighbourhood. Now they will be meeting with a judge in provincial court on a variety of charges. Quartet collared after trespassing report

Police received a suspicious person call from the Des Pins Road neighbourhood in Limo- ges on Sept. 25. The caller reported an unknown vehicle parked at a neighbour’s house. When the police arrived at the premises they found four people at the site who all fled into the nearby woods. Police tracked them all down in the end and, after questioning and checking the premises, arrested three of them on charges of mischief, possession of stolen property, and theft from a vehicle of items under $5000 value. Facing these charges are Maxime Bruere, 18, of Embrun, Maxime Lacroix, 18, of North Stormont Township, and Maxime Larocque, 22, of Casselman. The fourth person caught on the scene is a 17-year-old Casselman youth whose identity is withheld under the Young Offenders Act. He will also face charges in juvenile court. The three adults are all scheduled for a first appearance on their charges Nov. 27 at pro- vincial court in L’Orignal. Fraud charges Police received a call about theft Sept. 29 from the Mr. Gas gas bar on Edwards Street in Rockland. Investigation determined that one of the employees at the gas station is sus- pected of taking money from the business account. Donald Leinen, 53, of Rockland is charged with two counts of fraud over a value of $5000. He is scheduled for first appearance in provincial court Nov. 6. Drunk driver Drinking before driving has landed a St-Isidore man with a provincial court appearance later in the month.

Julien Boulerice-Laforest, 19, of St-Isidore, faces four charges following a police stop- check on Notre-Dame Street in Embrun on Sept. 29. He is charged with driving while having a blood-alcohol level exceeding 80 milligrams, driving a vehicle while have open liquor at the time, speeding, and having improper tires on his vehicle. His first appearance in provincial court on the charges is Oct. 23. Stolen tractor Someone stole a tractor during the night from a St-Albert farm on Sept. 26. The missing tractor is a large Massey-Ferguson 6480, model 2012, with a red body and a silver top. It was taken from a site on Route 900 West in St-Albert. Anyone who has seen the tractor or has information on the theft can call Const. Gabriel Jordache at the Embrun detachment at 613-443-4499. Business burglary Police have a break-in report from the Nation Cleaner located on Principale Street in Cas- selman. The burglary occurred Sept. 24 when someone forced their way into the building and stole some money and several woven carpets. Anyone with information about the burglary can call Const. Pam Como at the Embrun OPP detachment at 613-443-4499 or the CrimeStoppers confidential tips line toll-free at 1-800-222-8477. Impaired A Nation man has a court appointment this month. Marcel Lapensée, 35, of The Nation municipality had his Ford Ranger 2011 stopped by police on McGill Street in Hawkesbury on Sept. 19. Police report indicated suspicion that his blood-alcohol content was over the legal limit. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence suspended on the spot for 90 days. He is now charged with driving while having a blood-alcohol content exceeding 80 mil- ligrams. He was released on a promise to appear in provincial court in L’Orignal Oct. 9.
