• This means the Carel controller told the flame to ignite, but the flame controller (Fireye) responded with “flame fail” • Flame controller attempted to ignite the burner but failed at some point during the sequence • Ensure fuel pressure is correct. Incoming pressure above 2P.S.I. (56”w.c.) can cause pilot regulator to seize up preventing fuel from reaching the burner. • Inspect ignition sequence through the site glass on the unit. Verify spark and pilot. • Check flame signal on flame controller test ports • Inspect low fire flame size – should propagate across the burner as small as possible without flickering
