Les jeunes Optimistes aident leurs prochains

Les enfants ont également acheté des ali- ments non périssables et ont veillé à in- clure des ingrédients pour un gâteau des Fêtes, que les familles pouvaient préparer ensemble. En plus de cela, les paniers comprenaient des livres à colorier et des crayons pour les plus jeunes membres de chaque famille.
Les jeunes du Club Optimiste junior de Hammond ont récolté 400 $ pour quatre familles au cours de la période des Fêtes. À la fin de décembre, les jeunes membres du Club Optimiste junior de Hammond ont décidé de se réunir et rendre la période des Fêtes spéciale pour tout lemonde, en aidant les personnes dans le besoin. Dirty and Sing, the Dirty Dancing-inspired musical scheduled to come to Rockland on February 3, has been cancelled due to delays in obtaining copyrights. Les Productions Alain Roy, whichwas putting together the show, plans to postpone the showuntil September 2018, hoping to have obtained copyrights by that time. The show was scheduled for Saturday, February 3, at the Optimist Performance Hall in Rockland. Several tickets had already been sold and ticketholders can choose to either get their refund or hold on to their tickets for September.Those wishing for a refund can contact Martine Parisien, the co-producer of Dirty and Sing, at dirtyandsing@gmail.com or 613-673-5212. —submitted photo
Lavigne Natural Park trails now open Ski and snowshoe trails are now ready in the Lavigne Natural Park, located northwest of Bourget at the intersection of Marcil and Lavigne Road. The land is 100 acres and is hidden at the edge of the Morin Forest. A map of the trails is posted at the entrances of the Park. The ski and snowshoe trails are usually open from December to March and trail usage is free.
