AUGMENTATION POUR TARIFS DES GARDERIES REJETTÉS

Les changements de tarifs des garde- ries devraient entrer en vigueur le 1 er juillet 2018. Les tarifs qui ont été proposés et rejetés comprenaient une augmentation quotidienne de 10,75 $ pour les bambins de 18 à 30 mois – de 41,75 $ à 52,50 $. Pour le groupe d’âge préscolaire, de 30 mois à parascolaire, l’augmentation pro- posée était de 9,15 $ - de 41,35 $ à 50,50 $. Les augmentations proposées pour les autres catégories étaient moindres. Pour une journée-école parascolaire, le changement proposé était de 19,60 $ à 22 $ et pour une pleine journée scolaire, de 27,60 $ à 31 $. Le sujet des tarifs des garderies sera de nouveau à l’ordre du jour lors de la prochaine réunion, le mercredi 4 avril. Le département des services communau- taires doit revenir avec d’autres options.
Une résolution pour augmenter les ta- rifs des garderies à Clarence-Rockland a été rejetée à la dernière réunion du conseil municipal. Le département des services com- munautaires a fait une présentation à la réunion du 14 février, au sujet des défis encourus par le service des garderies au budget 2017. Le rapport recommandait deux options au conseil, afin de corriger le manque à gagner potentiel au budget 2018. Le conseil a ensuite mandaté le dépar- tement de préparer un rapport sur les tarifs, selon une des options proposées. Cette option a été proposée lors de la réunion du mercredi 21 mars et a été rejetée par le conseil.
Police are asking if anyone has seen a stolen work trailer around Alfred- Plantagenet Township. It’s easy to spot because the real owner’s business name is in big bold letters on the side of the trailer. Hawkesbury OPP received a report about a pickup truck with a commercial trailer sto- len overnight, March 10, from a private yard on Route 4 in Alfred-Plantagenet Township. The truck and trailer combination is a grey 2009 GMC Sierra 3500 pickup with a 20-foot white 2008 United UXT trailer. The trailer
has Gauthier Spray Foam and Insulation in blue decal on both sides of the body along with the business phone number. The truck and trailer, including the equip- ment stored inside the trailer at the time of the theft, are valued at more than $180,000.
