The annual Russell Agricultural Society’s (RAS) BarnDance Truck Raffle Giveaway held on Saturday, October 21, in Russell, was a big success. John Carkner won the brand new black Chevrolet Silverado 4 by 4 truck, and the three $1,000 cash bonus prizes went to John James, Tracey Carr, and Amanda Fader. The Russell Truck Committee expressed appreciation to all those who purchased truck raffle tickets, and those who attended. The guests, including these dancers from Russell’s Stone Bridge Squares (modern square dancing), were able to get countrified with Chicken Fried, the live — and lively — band present for the night. —photo Vicky Charbonneau Many show support to Carter’s cause
