own half the country, so what’s wrong?” I knew but I wanted to have him realize it for himself. “Well, I’m not sure,” he began slowly. “ All my life I’ve been un happy. When I was a boy I was very poor and I was unhappy. Now I’m a man and very rich and still I’m unhappy. I confess to you that I’m confused and ready to listen to anyone who thinks he can help me.” This was the opportune time I’d been praying for. I looked him straight in the eye and said very seriously, “Mr. Grey- ber, I believe I have the answer. You should have done it long ago. How about it?” Tears filled the old rancher’s eyes. He looked at me real steady and then a smile broke all over his face as he reached out his hand. We clinched his decision of accepting Christ as his Saviour with a real gripping handshake. That was the turning point in the life of Mr. Greyber and of the Crooked River Land and Cattle Co.
