L eading electrical and mechanical contractor Braham Group has injected light and life into projects of all shapes, sectors, and sizes for half a century, offering a full, seamless service to all clients. This commitment to excellence started in 1972 when Paul Braham founded Paul Braham and Sons Ltd. in Newry, and the company has been through several premises and brand names on their journey.
Now, they are once again ready to embark on a new chapter as “Braham Group”. The new name reflects their expansion and ability to provide a complete installation package to clients, including Electrical Contracting, Mechanical Contracting, and the successful Street and Floodlighting division. With approximately 40 full-time members of staff, as well as over 100 sub-contractors and self-employed engineers, and a fleet of 24 vehicles, their experienced and versatile team continues going from strength to strength, as Braham Group reaches new heights in this latest venture. A NEW CHAPTER Formally announcing to the market that Braham Group is open for mechanical
contracting business may come as a surprise to some, however, the company has also been operating in this sector for the past few years. Recently, their portfolio has expanded to include combined mechanical and electrical services installations. “From September 2020, we just decided that it was time for a mechanical part of the business. It was a ‘walk before you can run’ approach, to start small and grow into larger projects,” explained MD Ciaran McQuaid. “We had been working at it for the past couple of years, but ‘under the radar’. When we went through the rebranding, the mechanical division was a natural element that needed to be added to the brand, so it was a good time to announce it.” “Some clients also prefer to get the whole package from one company, so that
