Health & Safety
• Responsible for ensuring that operations and activities undertaken within the post holder’s area of responsibility are executed at all times in such a manner as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all students, staff and visitors who may be affected by their operations. • Be fully familiar with their specific health & safety responsibilities, including levels of training, detailed in the Directorate’s Health & Safety Arrangements, which is approved by the Director of Estates & Facilities.
Diversity & Inclusion
• Ensure that supporting our diverse community and ensuring accessibility to facilities and services continues to be one of E&F’s highest priorities • Champion and advocate for diversity and inclusion as an imperative for King’s, and work to identify and remove the barriers to inclusion and progression for underrepresented groups. • Hold colleagues responsible for attraction, retention and progression of underrepresented groups within their functions, faculties or directorates.
Sustainability
• Ensure business practices are aligned and support King’s ambition to continue to work towards protecting the environment and embedding sustainability into the university.
Other Duties
• Undertake other duties not specifically stated above, commensurate with the grade of the post, which from time to time are necessary for the effective performance of the University.
