SNC’s network of 14 day-use Conservation Areas across its 4,384 square-kilometer jurisdiction in Eastern Ontario are acces- sible free of charge, and provide public access to the Conservation Authority’s 12,000 acres of community land. Officers from the Russell detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were kept busy from April 29 to May 5, as they responded to 373 calls for assistance. On April 29, at about 5:30 p.m., an officer responded to a shoplifting complaint at a gas station on Principale Street in Casselman. During his investigation, the officer deter- mined that 26-year-old Mario Parent, of the /BUJPO5PXOTIJQ IBETUPMFOOVNFSPVTJUFNT from the shelves inside the gas station.
